Week 1 (Introduction)

Hello, my name is Brooke Cameron. I am a creator and performer in Newcastle and I am documenting my process of developing a piece of work.

I am focusing on issues around working class people and how this effects drama students, especially in the North East. I am taking you a long through my process, so it tight and watch "Being part of the 10%" unravel..

Alongside these blogs, I will be creating vlogs in detail of each week and the process that has been made. i am hoping to use this blog to spirit everything and anything including any research I have done or anything I have found interesting when creating my work💛

Today I had my first session with Kev, who is in charge of costume and props as well as Linda, who is my course leader and Melanie who is in charge of our performances that will be taken place on the online festival.

Going one by one, each person in our class had to do a presentation entailing where our project sits at the moment. These presentations needed to include:

• Props and costumes needed

• Dates for rehearsals/spaces needed for rehearsals

• Who is involved

• How the piece will be performed

I received greatfeedbackk from my work and research I had done s they believed it was very organised. I believe I have everything sorted and ready to start the process of my performance and developing my website. I have created websites before when I was younger and really enjoyed it so this will be an interesting evaluation.

I am hoping to have my piece pre recorded and edited by myself so it is like a short movie rather than a performance.

I can't wait to see this process unfold and I am glad you are coming a long with me in this process..
