Within my second show back, I decided to show the class my progression on my website. As well as showing the first vlog I have been putting together for my website, in exchange for feedback from my classmates to see what there response was and what they thought was good or bad.

Comparing my work compared to everyone else's, it's easy to see that everyone is in a completely different stage to one another as everyone's work is so different. No one else in my class is doing vlogs as part of their website so it was good to know that my website invited something different and some variety. I also explained where i was with my piece and written work. Due to a flooding in the lipman building, it meant i had to miss out on filming this week for my piece. This therefore pushes back my filming time to 2 weeks as the space i want to use is not available until then. I wanted to complete the editing for my piece as soon as possible so this means i will be rushed for time in the process. I will still have a week or two to edit but this puts me way behind schedule.

Within my performance, I also had three pieces based on three people Eve, Andy and Brooke. However, after unfortunate events Eve decided to pull out last minute of the performance before I could get an interview with her for the performance. When discussing this issue with Linda and the peers in my class they gave several suggestions how I could work around this issue. Linda suggested many working class creators I could get incontact with. Saskia also suggested that she would be happy to be interviewed for the performance. Although, I am grateful for her suggestion I wouldn't feel comfortable recreating verbatim with Saskia as I believe there would be high expectations from everyone due to everyone knowing saskia. So if my verbatim of Saskia was not faithful, it would be noticable. i would be want to be faithful to my portrayal of Saskia as much as possible and would not want to be pushed for time. Although I will not be adding the interview with Saskia in my piece, I still want to conduct an interview which will be useful for using in one of my blog posts. It will also come in handy for reference in one of my essays and support my findings in terms of working class artists so she will be a useful source.

Even with these negatives, I still feel as if my piece is still strong even without 1 of the 3 monologues, I'm still happy with how I think it will turn out and the information that I already have so I feel confident going forward in the progression of my piece.

For the next showback, I want to show the class my website and where it stands. I am looking for suggestions and advice on how to make my website better in terms of writing and presentation. Along with Vlog 2 that i am hoping to get edited by some point this week and eventually put onto my page.

Overall, so far I feel as if I am on track and in the right direction. my writing is possibly my weakest aspect of my full work so I belive I need to focus on that for a while before my filming with Kev at some point. I think meetings with Linda and Dyslexia support will fully benefit me and my progress in my writing. I feel as if feedback from my classmates is useful and viewing others can push me to do more and to give me more confidence in myself in my work when comparing to others.
